ICSPR calls for an end to the Israeli crimes and its provocative policies in Jerusalem and the rest of the Palestinian territories

The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights “ICSPR” sent an urgent appeal to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General, the Special Rapporteur for the Palestinian Territories, the European Union, the League of Arab States, the Human Rights Council, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and dozens of human rights organizations, demanding them to exert more efforts to stop the Israeli crimes and its provocative policies in Jerusalem and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.
Within the appeal, ICSPR stressed the seriousness of the Israeli crimes in Jerusalem, which will only bring more flagrant violations of the rules of international humanitarian law and human rights standards and constitute a blatant challenge to all international legitimacy resolutions related to Jerusalem and the Palestinian cause.
The insistence of the Israeli occupation state to allow the organization of the “flags march” provokes the feelings of Palestinians and millions of Muslims and Christians around the world.
The flag march which is protected by the occupation forces is a provocative step that will lead to worsening the situation in Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories, as well as undermining the efforts to stabilize the region after the Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the rest of the occupied Palestinian territories.
ICSPR pointed out that it is following up with great concern the escalation of Israeli crimes and provocative policies, especially in light of the continued threats by Israeli political and military leaders to launch military operations against the Gaza Strip. And that it held the Israeli occupation and its war forces legally responsible for their crimes committed against the holy sites and the residents of the Holy City, and it considered that the Israeli occupation forces deliberately allowing the holding of the flags march threatens once again to ignite the region with a bloody conflict whose price will be paid by Palestinian civilians. Therefore:
ICSPR called on the international community (states – organizations) to apply sufficient political and diplomatic pressure on the Israeli occupation in order to stop committing any crime, violation or international violation against Palestinian civilians, including canceling the organization of the Flag march. And called on the free people of the world to move quickly in order to ensure the protection of the rights of the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital, and to strive to enforce the United Nations resolutions related to the Palestinian cause and demanded them to adopt this appeal and to take all measures to ensure responding to the demands and rights of the Palestinian people to stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation.
