International Commission to support the Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) directs an urgent humanitarian appeal to save the life of the hunger striking prisoner Maher Al-akhras.

The International Commotion to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) expresses its deep concern over the life of the detainee in Israeli prisons, the prisoner Maher Al-Akhras (50) from the town of Silat Al-Dhahr, south of Jenin .The hunger striking prisoner refused to be arrested administratively, and with the continuation of his open hunger strike for a period of (73) days since his arrest on July 27, 2020, his life is in serious danger and he is threatened with death at any moment due to his deteriorating health condition.

The ICSPR  urges and calls on all international, Arab, Palestinian and free world parties, especially the United Nations organizations and the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Convention, the International Red Cross and all human rights institutions and the freedom of the world to urgently intervene to save the life of the mute prisoner and ensure the speedy release and condemn the violations of the occupation practiced against him and the right of Palestinian prisoners in prisons Occupation, as it violates international human rights standards and the rules of international humanitarian law.
