The International Commission delivered a letter to the High Commissioner in Gaza demanding the protection of the rights of the Palestinian people

Occupied Palestine / Gaza: Dozens of citizens and legal persons in Gaza City participated on Tuesday morning, 10 December 2019, in a human chain, rejecting the continuing Israeli crimes and violations, and calling for the protection of the rights of the Palestinian people and human rights in Palestine.

Participants in the stand organized by the International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR), in front of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in central Gaza City, raised Palestinian flags and slogans denouncing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

The stand also came to draw the world’s attention to the continuing and worsening tragedy as a result of the continued denial of their basic rights, stressing that they are in urgent need to protect Palestinian civilians, and to take advantage of the International Human Rights Day and turn it into a real work station to ensure respect for human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories.

At the end of the stand, the participants delivered a letter calling the Office of the High Commissioner to urge the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights to activate its role in protecting human rights in Palestine.
