The International Commission “Hashd” Calls on States and People of Conscience Worldwide to Exercise the Right to Humanitarian Intervention to Stop Israeli Crimes of Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing

The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights “Hashd” condemns the ongoing brutal aggression and systematic acts of genocide and ethnic cleansing by the Israeli occupation forces in northern Gaza, which have persisted for 16 consecutive days. This aggression peaked with a heinous massacre in the Beit Lahia Project, claiming the lives of 100 people so far, with dozens injured or missing, most of whom are children and women. The massacre was the result of Israeli warplanes bombing a residential block with fire belts around the Al-Qassam Mosque, leading to the destruction of homes belonging to the Sharif, Duraid, Obeid, Hindi, and Kahlout families, which were densely populated with residents and displaced persons, without prior warning. This escalation represents a systematic pattern of genocide and ethnic cleansing that has affected the residents of Jabalia camp, Tel Al-Zaatar, and the Beit Lahia Project. It coincides with ongoing communications and internet blackouts, the imposition of a suffocating blockade, and the targeting and bombing of shelters in UNRWA schools, with incidents of burning, raiding schools near the Indonesian hospital, arresting dozens of displaced people, mistreating them, and forcibly displacing women and children to southern Gaza and Gaza City, leaving many families homeless on the streets. Furthermore, there have been cases of extrajudicial executions, with dozens of bodies still lying in the streets due to deliberate obstruction of rescue and medical teams’ efforts to retrieve them, extending the ongoing targeting of the healthcare system, which has forced the shutdown of northern hospitals (Indonesian, Al-Awda, and Kamal Adwan) due to deliberate shelling and the prevention of fuel and medical supplies from entering, alongside forced evacuation orders that have resulted in the death of dozens of patients and injured individuals, compounded by a shortage of medical staff and the scarcity of necessary medical equipment.

The International Commission “Hashd”:The Israeli occupation continues its aggression and ground attacks on northern Gaza, which have led to nearly 650 deaths and over 1,400 injuries, as well as the repeated displacement of thousands of displaced persons, in addition to the destruction of thousands of residential units. The occupation forces continue to demolish infrastructure and residential areas in northern Gaza using explosive barrels, booby-trapped robots, aircraft missiles, and artillery shells. This systematic policy aims to deepen the humanitarian catastrophe by preventing the entry of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and fuel shipments, and barring international organization workers for the 16th day, putting the lives of 400,000 residents of northern Gaza at risk of death either from Israeli shelling, hunger, thirst, or the collapse of healthcare services. These actions are part of the occupation’s genocidal plan to enact demographic and geographic changes by destroying northern Gaza, making it uninhabitable, and forcibly emptying it of its residents.

The International Commission “Hashd”:strongly condemns the continued support by the United States and some European countries for the occupation in military, intelligence, political, economic, and media sectors, which has contributed to and continues to enable the perpetration of crimes of genocide. We also denounce the blatant Arab and international failure to stop the Israeli aggression and genocide and to compel the occupation to respect international humanitarian law, human rights standards, and enforce the rulings of the International Court of Justice, as well as the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council, General Assembly, and Human Rights Council.

The International Commission “Hashd”:calls on the international community, the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions, the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Arab League, and states and free people worldwide to undertake broad official, popular, legal, and diplomatic actions. This includes serious efforts to form an international coalition that exercises the right to humanitarian intervention through various coercive measures, including imposing sanctions, boycotts, and activating accountability mechanisms to ensure the protection of civilians and compel the racist, colonial Israeli occupation to halt its organized state terrorism and brutal genocidal war. It is essential to open crossings and humanitarian corridors for the flow of humanitarian aid, essential needs, and medical supplies.
