Press Release
The International Commission “Hashd” on its 130th day condemns the continued aggression and ongoing genocide perpetrated by the Israeli occupation forces, resulting in the killing, martyrdom, injury, and displacement of 5% of the population of the Gaza Strip, amounting to 105,000 citizens, 70% of whom are children and women. Moreover, 75% of the buildings and structures in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed, leading to the forced and repeated displacement of more than 2 million people living in catastrophic humanitarian conditions in overcrowded tents and shelters amidst severe shortages of aid, famine, diseases, and epidemics claiming the lives of dozens daily.
The International Commission “Hashd”: condemns the prevention of the visit of the UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, as an extension of the policies of the Israeli occupation in obstructing the work of international organizations and their staff to prevent them from fulfilling their role in monitoring and documenting human rights violations, genocide, war crimes, and collective punishments suffered by Palestinians. It also condemns the denial of entry to the UN Fact-Finding Committee and the racist incitement against all voices condemning Israeli occupation crimes against Palestinians.
The International Commission “Hashd”: strongly condemns the decision of the Argentine President to move his country’s embassy to Jerusalem, considering it a serious violation of international law and relevant UN resolutions concerning the Palestinian issue and the city of Jerusalem. This decision participates in the crime of annexing occupied territories by force, aligning with plans to impose the fait accompli in Jerusalem, legislating for the processes of Judaization, annexation, extermination, and displacement enforced by the extremist racist occupation government. It calls on Argentina to reverse its decision and adhere to the limits of international law, considering this step an international crime warranting accountability and punishment, and urges the free people of the world to impose boycotts and sanctions on the Israeli occupation state and the free people of Argentina to condemn this egregious crime to ensure its reversal.
The International Commission “Hashd”: condemns the ongoing and escalating crimes of the Israeli occupation against Palestinian journalists, deliberately targeting and terrorizing them to prevent them from covering Israeli occupation crimes despite their clear identity and press insignia, insisting on violating the rules of international humanitarian law and human rights conventions, which provide special protection for journalists during armed conflicts, making targeting them a war crime. Since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation crimes have resulted in the martyrdom of 126 journalists, the injury of 156 journalists, and the arrest of 10 others.
The International Commission “Hashd”: strongly condemns the decision of the Israeli occupation to close UNRWA’s office in Jerusalem and parts of the West Bank, in a new crime threatening the work of the International Relief and Works Agency and the humanitarian future of Palestinian refugees, conflicting with the agency’s mandate to provide services to Palestinian refugees in the occupied territories and other Palestinian gatherings, necessitating the United Nations and the international community to act to stop this crime and confront the occupation’s plans aimed at liquidating UNRWA’s work on the issue of Palestinian refugees, enabling UNRWA to perform its role according to the mandate granted to it by the UN General Assembly.
The International Commission “Hashd”: condemns the approval by the Knesset of the preliminary reading to deprive detainees in Gaza of their various rights, foremost of which is the right to fair trial and legal representation, as they are dealt with under the “unlawful combatants” law, thus perpetuating enforced disappearance crimes and flagrant violations of international humanitarian law and a series of international human rights conventions, prohibiting nearly 4000 detainees from any guarantees ensuring their protection as the occupation state refuses to disclose their conditions and places of detention. Testimonies documented by Hashd confirm that prisoners, both male and female, are subjected to torture, abuse, humiliation, and treatment undermining their dignity.
The International Commission “Hashd”: calls on the international community, countries, and the free people of the world to work diligently to stop the aggression and genocide, provide international protection for Palestinians, ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, activate paths of accountability, boycott, and impose sanctions on the Israeli occupation state to enhance opportunities to end the occupation and dismantle the system of racist colonialism.
