The International Commission “Hashd” condemns Israeli crimes against the Gaza Strip peaceful protesters.

 

Various injuries were recorded by Israeli occupation forces in the east of the Gaza Strip during popular protest activities organized this evening, Friday, September 15, 2023, in three gatherings east of the cities of Khan Yunis, Gaza, and Jabalia, according to the International Commission (Hashd).

The most significant infringement was the wounding of journalist Ashraf Abu Amra while reporting an event. He was injured in the hand by a gas bomb, resulting in the complete loss of one of his fingers.

The International Commission (Hashd) considers the occupation administration entirely accountable for the severe abuses committed against protestors. Reaffirming that the continued targeting and killing of Palestinians by Israeli military occupation forces through excessive and disproportionate use of force is a serious violation of international law and international humanitarian law, as well as a violation of the Rome Statute establishing the International Criminal Court, the Fourth Geneva Convention, and human rights standards, and noting that these crimes would not have occurred without the silence of the international community regarding the siege and continued aggression against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
