The International Commission (ICSPR), in cooperation with the Academy for Refugee Studies, opens an intensive diploma through the distance education mechanism, entitled (Mechanisms to Support the Rights of the Palestinian People).
Palestine / Gaza Strip: The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR), in cooperation with the Academy for Refugee Studies, inaugurated this evening Tuesday, March 17th, 2020, an intensive diploma entitled (Mechanisms to Support the Rights of the Palestinian People), by using e-learning technology, through zoom.
The “Intensive Diploma” program, which extends over the period between 3/17/2020 until 04/14/2020, includes many lectures and meetings, which deal with many topics, including; The state of the rights of the Palestinian people … the basic indicators and risks, international and national human rights standards, the difference between international human rights law and international humanitarian law, advocacy, pressure and influence mechanisms and their tactics to protect the rights of peoples, the model (the Palestinian people), and the best ways to employ human rights mechanisms at the national and international level to protect the rights of the Palestinian people, and to employ the means and searches of modern social media in defense of human rights.
Salah Abdel Atti, Chairman of the International Commission, opened the series of meetings and lectures, with a lecture devoted to explaining the state of the rights of the Palestinian people … basic indicators and risks, in which 89 participants from Jerusalem, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the diaspora countries participated.
It is noteworthy that this diploma is the first of its kind that uses distance education techniques, in the interest of the safety and health of the participants under the current circumstances, and the implementation of this diploma in cooperation with the Academy of Refugee Studies, which is well-known in this field of organizing remote training.
The intensive diploma is considered a preliminary stage within the framework of the efforts of ICSPR and the Arab Organization for Human Rights, which aim to create a qualitative youth rights forum that seeks to enhance the position of peoples’ and human rights discourse in the culture and sentiment of Palestinian youth, based on developing their capabilities and skills on national and international standards devoted to peoples’ and human rights, and strengthening their expertise in the fields of employing human rights mechanisms at the national and international levels, including mechanisms of advocacy, lobbying and influence.
