Press release,

ICSPR condemns the ongoing campaign of arrest against civilians in the West Bank and calls for the protection of the civilian population

The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR ) follows up with denunciation, the repeated Israeli campaign of arrest against Palestinian civilians in the cities of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, the latest of which was today, Thursday, November 25, where the Israeli military occupation forces launched a massive campaign of arrest that targeted 21 Palestinian citizens from various governorates of the West Bank.

ICSPR warns against the policy of indiscriminate and arbitrary arrests against civilians in the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, and considers that the silence of the international community gives a green light to commit more violations against Palestinian civilians. Accordingly:

  • ICSPR condemns the continuous and arbitrary raids and arrests launched by the occupation authorities against Palestinian civilians in Jerusalem and the occupied West Bank, and calls for providing protection for the civilian population, and the release of prisoners and detainees in occupation prisons.
  • ICSPR calls on the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to open an immediate and serious investigation into the grave Israeli violations against civilians, including Palestinian prisoners and detainees, who are subjected to catastrophic violations, foremost of which is their subjection to torture, cruel treatment and deliberate medical neglect.
  • ICSPR calls on the leadership to activate Palestinian official and popular diplomacy, and assign embassies and missions of the State of Palestine in countries and organizations to mobilize international support for the cause of prisoners and detainees, including pressuring the occupation authorities to release them and to hold the occupation leaders accountable for their crimes against them.
  • ICSPR calls on the United Nations, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and various international organizations to take the initiative to form a firm position on the crimes of raids and arrests, and to enable the Palestinian people of their right to self-determination and declare their independent state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions related to the Palestinian cause.
