Gaza: The International Commission (ICSPR) concludes a training course on: “Basic concepts in human rights and international humanitarian law”

Occupied Palestine / Gaza: The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) concluded today, Wednesday, 7/31/2019, a training course on: “Basic concepts in human rights and international humanitarian law”, which lasted for seven days, at the Commission’s office in Gaza City, for (23) trainees from students majoring in law in English at Al-Azhar University.

The training was conducted by a group of qualified trainers from the staff of the Commission, and external trainers, during which they focused on the principles and history of human rights, the international charter in general, the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the principles of international humanitarian law, the Palestinian Basic Law, legal advocacy mechanisms, and support for human rights.

These courses are part of the ongoing activities of the International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR), in an effort to raise awareness of international humanitarian law among the Palestinian society groups and segments in Gaza.

By the end of the course, certificates were distributed to the participants, and certificates of appreciation were presented to the trainers who contributed to the success of the training.
