ICSPR : The Israeli occupation lies and offers flimsy justifications for trying to justify the killing of children and women and the extermination of entire families
The Israeli targeting and deliberate bombing of homes over the heads of their residents has been repeated on a daily basis, from the early morning hours of Saturday, May 15, 2021, until the moment, the ambulance and emergency crews barely finish recovering the bodies and mutilating the children of a family whose house was targeted above their heads, and they start again to retrieve the bodies and parts of other women and children from another family, the Israeli policy of deliberately targeting the homes of safe civilians has led to the erasure of about 12 families from the civil registry, as according to the latest statistics of the Palestinian Ministry of Health at (12:30), the continued Israeli bombing resulted in the death of 139 civilians, including 39 children and 22 Women and 1,000 injuries.
As usual, the military occupation forces tried to provide unrealistic justifications to justify their bellicose behavior towards civilians and their property, Once the Palestinian resistance is accused of using densely populated areas in its war operations, this matter is unreal, dishonest, and inconsistent with reality, in addition to being a clear violation of an international legal rule (if you are in doubt then refrain from it) that governs the rules of armed engagement, and once again it says it killed 120 Palestinian fighters, and this matter is refuted and denied by the facts on the ground as the About 44% of the victims of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip are children and women, and 43% of the injured are also children and women, while total massacres have been committed against 12 families whose members were completely killed, and even the fighters, who are no more than 10% of the martyrs, were targeted in Their homes are with their families while they are not in the battlefields, and therefore they enjoy in this case the civilian status protected under international law, in addition to that, three residential towers and more than 700 housing units and civilian facilities including mosques, schools, media and commercial offices were destroyed, as well as road networks, water lines and supplies, electricity and others.
The Israeli crimes did not stop there, so it deliberately targeted residential towers, especially those located in the center of the densely populated city of Gaza, which contain the offices of international and local news agencies in an attempt to silence the press, obscure the facts, and terrorize civilians.
A sane observer cannot believe the Israeli justifications, as Israeli criminal policies have contributed, according to United Nations estimates, to the forced displacement of nearly 10 thousand civilian residents who fear for themselves the danger of death due to the repeated Israeli targeting of residential areas, and the deliberate bombing of civilian installations and homes over the heads of their residents ,this led to the extermination of entire families and the targeting of indispensable infrastructure for the population.
The Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip is escalating in an unprecedented way, amid the exacerbation of the humanitarian crisis due to the tight blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip by closing all border crossings, which threatens to repeat the world’s view of the same ugly scenes that were punctuated by the Israeli aggression in 2014.
The International Commission for the Support of the Rights of the Palestinian People (ICSPR) reaffirms the right of the Palestinian people to resist the occupier by all available means, as a right recognized in international law; And stresses that the Israeli military doctrine has diverted civilians and their property for legitimate goals, warning against the worsening of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip in light of the continued Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, and the threat to expand these operations and the accompanying stifling siege measures that affect all aspects of the life of Palestinian civilians . Therefore:
- ICSPR deplores the continuation of the international and regional conspiracy of silence over the heinous crimes committed by the war occupation authorities.
- ICSPR calls on the states contracting to the Fourth Geneva Convention to declare a clear and explicit position on Israel’s refusal to abide by the implementation of the agreement in the Palestinian territories.
- ICSPR calls on the Palestinian leadership to leave the square of silence and line up with its people by stopping security coordination with the occupier in the West Bank, and enabling citizens to fulfill their rights in confronting Israeli crimes.
- ICSPR urges the international solidarity movement with the Palestinian people, and all Arab, regional and international organizations to move on all legal, political, diplomatic, human rights and public levels, to ensure the protection of Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip.
