The International Commission (ICSPR) Participates in the Arab Sustainable Development Week with a Session on Development in Arab Countries Affected by Armed Conflicts
Dr. Salah Abdeal Ati, Chairman of the International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights (ICSPR), along with a delegation from the Commission, participated in the Arab Sustainable Development Week in a session titled: “Sustainable Development in Arab Countries Affected by Armed Conflicts.”
During the session,Dr. Abdal Ati discussed the Palestinian reality under Israeli occupation, highlighting the crimes of genocide and starvation in the Gaza Strip, which pose a fundamental obstacle to achieving sustainable development in Palestine.
He also outlined the priorities required on Palestinian, Arab, and international levels, calling for:
- An end to the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
- Supporting Palestinian rights by ensuring urgent humanitarian responses and the flow of aid.
- Intensifying efforts to end the colonial and racist occupation that remains the primary barrier to development.
Dr. Abdal Ati emphasized the importance of enhancing partnerships and cooperation among Arab nations and international institutions to achieve comprehensive sustainable development that supports the Palestinian people and strengthens their resilience against ongoing violations.
He concluded by urging the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities to ensure the end of the occupation and enable the Palestinian people to exercise their legitimate rights, paving the way for just peace and sustainable development in the region.
