Press Release
Dr. Salah Abdel-Ati, the President of The International Commission “Hashd” ,has filed a lawsuit in Italy to halt participation in the genocide war, cease arms supplies, and reinstate funding for the UNRWA
Salah El-Din Abdel-Ati, hailing from Gaza, has initiated legal action against the Italian government demanding the cessation of arms supply to Israel and the resumption of funding for UNRWA.
Abdel-Ati, a 49-year-old lawyer born in Jabalia, now resides in Egypt after losing his mother, brother, sister, two-year-old niece, and his brother’s wife in an Israeli bombardment during the continuous aggression on Gaza. He has addressed the court in Rome with the assistance of lawyers Stefano Bertoni, Marco Bona, Gianluca Vitali, and Emanuele Damico.
A judge in Rome has been summoned to decide whether the Italian government should cease supplying arms to Israel and resume funding for UNRWA because direct and indirect support for the aggression on Gaza has led to serious human rights violations.
