The International Commission (Hashd) expresses its satisfaction with the international consensus on ending the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip

This consensus was reflected in the vote of 153 countries in the United Nations General Assembly yesterday. The organization calls for the formation of an international humanitarian alliance to protect civilians and ensure the obligation of the Israeli occupation state to respect the rules of international humanitarian law and human rights standards. It also calls for an end to the ongoing genocide, now in its 68th day, and holding Israel accountable for its crimes, which have resulted in the death and martyrdom of more than 18,500 people, including 8,000 children and 6,300 women. Additionally, more than 8,000 individuals are still missing, and nearly 2 million citizens are forcibly displaced, enduring the tragedy of hunger, thirst, diseases, and health epidemics. The destruction of 65% of homes, residential units, civil and economic facilities, as well as the bombing and invasion of hospitals in northern Gaza, has exacerbated the humanitarian catastrophe. The hindrance and prohibition of the work of international humanitarian institutions have turned Gaza into a devastated area where residents face a worsening humanitarian crisis every day due to collective sanctions, power and water cuts, shortages of food, medicine, and communications. Furthermore, the limited and politicized nature of humanitarian aid persists, with its use as a weapon of war against civilians.
