The International Commission (Hashd) organizes a youth debate to promote the notion of civil peace among young people.

The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights “Hashd” hosted a youth debate today, Thursday, on the statement, “This council believes that civil institutions promote the concept of civil peace among young people.”

The debate started with each team going over their points, giving evidence, data, and figures.

Lawyer Adham Al-Majdalawi, lawyer Alaa Daoud, and lawyer Moatasem Fares were on the supporting team, while lawyer Mahmoud Al-Faqawi, lawyer Mesbah Mukhaimer, and lawyer Hatem Diab were on the opposing team.

Lawyer Muhammad Eslim chaired the discussion, and the jury comprised lawyer Iyad Bakri, lawyer Ghaleb Jabr, and youth activist Maysa Al-Masry.

The supporting team won the debate because it took place in an atmosphere of conversation between the two teams, as the public allowed for interventions and questions to both teams.

The jury commended the participants, both supporters and opponents, and appreciated their efforts and studies on the debate’s issue.

While the attendees and participants praised the international organization “Hashd” for its continuous efforts in spreading civil peace awareness and culture in all its forms, and its constant emphasis on the need for everyone to come together to spread the culture of civil peace and acceptance of the other, and to resolve disputes peacefully and through the law.
