ICSPR condemns and denounces the results of the American investigation into the bullet that killed journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights “ICSPR” condemns and denounces the results of the American investigation into the bullet that killed and assassinated the journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh by claiming that the bullet that the United States received from the Palestinian Authority was damaged in an open attempt to tamper with evidence, and the acquittal of the Israeli occupation of this heinous crime, and the statement that there are no reasons to indicate that the targeting was deliberate, which makes the United States of America a partner in cover-up and political, military and economic support in the continuation of the Israeli occupation crimes against Palestinian journalists and civilians.
The International Commission “ICSPR” confirms that the available evidence, the testimony of witnesses, what was documented by the video recordings, the trajectory, distance, and type of the bullet, and the investigations of the Public Prosecution, and The human rights institutions and the United Nations have unequivocally confirmed that the occupation soldiers committed the crime of field execution, deliberately, to the journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh in the Jenin camp, Rather, it went beyond to shoot anyone who tried to help her, apart from the occupying power’s refusal to open a serious investigation into this crime and attempts to justify it, and later the attack on the funeral procession in the city of Jerusalem, and the continuation of the policy of denial and outright lies, and the demand of the authority to hand over the bullet extracted from the body of the martyr Shireen, Despite the Palestinian rejection of this, the authority responded and handed the bullet to the United States of America, knowing that the American and Israeli experts would not admit the truth.
Rather, the aim is to absorb the American demands from some members of the American Congress and the international demands to open a serious investigation, announce the results and cover up the crimes of the Israeli occupation, as is customary for the various American administrations. This was confirmed today by the announced results of the American investigation.
The International Commission “ICSPR” calls on the Palestinian leadership to stop the procrastination in referring the crime of the assassination of journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh, and the rest of the crimes of the Israeli occupation to the International Criminal Court, in accordance with Article 14 of the Rome Charter founding the International Criminal Court, and not to be satisfied with reports or briefing notes, and to activate the use of the principle of International jurisdiction to ensure that the leaders and soldiers of the occupation are held accountable as war criminals.
The International Commission “ICSPR” calls on the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court to open a serious investigation into the murder of journalist Shireen Abu Aqleh and expedite the investigation procedures into the crimes of the Israeli occupation and stop the policy of double standards, double standards, and complicity with the occupying power, and the rest of the colonial countries in refraining from completing investigations In order to hold the leaders and soldiers of the occupation accountable as war criminals.
The International Commission “ICSPR” calls on the Palestinian leadership to stop betting on the American role, illusions of settlement, carrying out the national, legal and moral duty in internationalizing the conflict, maximizing the popular, political, legal, diplomatic and media engagement with the Israeli occupation state, employing accountability and boycott tracks for the Israeli occupation state and activating the solidarity movement.
The International Commission “ICSPR” calls on the international community, the United Nations and the High Contracting Parties to the Fourth Geneva Convention to stop the policy of silence and selective enforcement of international humanitarian law and to move seriously to hold accountable the perpetrators of war crimes and crimes against humanity and to provide protection for Palestinian civilians and journalists
