The International Commission for Supporting the Rights of the Palestinian People (Hashd) presents you with its greetings and highly appreciates your efforts to ensure that human beings enjoy a decent life wherever they are around the world, as a true harmony with the charters and provisions of human rights, including also the enjoyment of Palestinian civilians, especially in the Gaza Strip, those who look forward to your effort and your good offices towards deterring the occupation authorities from their crimes and violations against them, and in a manner that ensures accountability for the perpetrators of these violations, to re-consider the faith of the Palestinian victims in the validity of international law, especially international human rights law, and international humanitarian law. Concerning the above subject, we are addressing you today; And through this urgent communication to put you in the picture of the brutal aggression launched by the Israeli occupation forces on the Gaza Strip; As the Israeli occupation army began its aggression against the Gaza Strip at dawn hours on Tuesday, corresponding to May 9, 2023; By carrying out a military attack in which dozens of aircraft participated warship As of the date of writing this letter, it resulted in the martyrdom of about (33) martyrs, including (8) children and (4) women. And more than (147) other civilians were wounded.

I.C.S.P.R Sent the A humanitarian appeal to : The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory,Secretary-General of the United Nations, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, High Commissioner for Human Rights , President of the Human Rights Council and The United Nations Special Rapporteur on human rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.

The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip was accompanied by the closure of the border crossings with the Gaza Strip by the occupation forces, where the (Beit Hanoun and Kerem Abu Salem) crossings were closed, which exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, as the closure of the Kerem Shalom crossing, which is the only commercial crossing, will be It has catastrophic humanitarian effects on various sectors, especiallyIn terms of electricity service, which is the backbone of life, especially with the continuation of the Israeli aggression on the Strip and the hospitals’ need for it; In addition, the closure of the Beit Hanoun “Erez” crossing deprived hundreds of patients and emergency cases, especially those with serious diseases, for whom treatment is not available in the Gaza Strip, from reaching hospitals in the West Bank, where we inform youNoting that since the first day of the closure, (142) cancer patients were unable to travel to receive treatment, including (5) very serious cases, and also on the second day, (136) patients, including (3) serious cases, were unable to travel to receive treatment. Occupation forces enter the body of a patient from northern Gaza from entry after he died inAl-Mutala Hospital in occupied Jerusalem.

Also, the closure of the crossings would exacerbate the acute shortage of medicines, in light of the warnings issued by the Ministry of Health, especially in light of the continuous shortage of medicines, which was recorded during April 2023, a shortage in the list of medicines amounting to (255) medicinal items with zero stock. , so that the disability rate is (43%), while the number of zero items in the list of medical consumables in circulation is (165) items, so that the deficit rate is (19%), and the zero items in medicines for cancer patients, totaling (63) pharmaceutical items, amounted to about (27) zero brands. This threatens the overall human rights situation, with dire consequences.

The Israeli escalation in the Gaza Strip, the assassination crimes, the targeting of civilians by killing outside the framework of the law, the targeting of civilian property, and the accompanying closure of border crossings and its repercussions, constitute a flagrant violation of the highest standards of human rights and international humanitarian law, including the obligations of the occupying state towards the lives of the residents of the region. The occupier, what we can say is that the Israeli measures against civilians are considered organized state terrorism and a grave violation that rises to the level of the war crime described as a full-fledged one. In light of the foregoing, we call upon you to promptly and promptly intervene to compel the Israeli occupation to stop its ongoing aggressive actions against civilians in the Gaza Strip, including the opening of border crossings for the movement of people and goods, and work to promote respect for the principles of international human rights law and international humanitarian law regarding concerning the residents of the Gaza Strip, and taking measures to open a serious investigation into the crimes of the occupation to reduce the areas of impunity for the occupation leaders.

We hope that you will intervene quickly now, as tomorrow may be too late, as the citizens of the Gaza Strip view your contribution and interference as a lever to guarantee their right to a decent human life, just like other people.
