ICSPR CALLS UPON ALL POLITICAL FORCES, CIVIL SOCIETY ORGANIZATIONS, YOUTH MOVEMENTS, WOMEN AND ALL POPULAR SECTORS TO ACT TO PROTECT THE RECONCILIATION AGREEMENT.
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights welcomes the agreement reached today between Fatah and Hamas in Cairo under the mediation of Egypt, and its calls to take all necessary measures and steps to alleviate the suffering of the citizens and to lift all sanctions imposed on the Gaza Strip.
ICSPR calls upon all political forces, civil society organizations, youth movements, women and all popular sectors to act to protect the reconciliation agreement and to ensure its implementation on the ground, and to complete the takes between the two Parties. The framework of the takes should be built on the partnership in which all the Palestinian people participates which ensure the re-unification and building the political system institutions and ensure respecting the rights and freedoms in the Palestinian territories.
It should also speed forming a national unity government capable of addressing national challenges and holding presidential, legislative and in the Palestine Liberation Organization elections. It should build a fighting strategy that will ensure strengthening the foundations of people steadfastness and the promoting their capabilities in the face of the Israeli occupation and achieving the national goals which includes freedom, right of return and self-determination.
