ICSPR calls upon the security services in the West Bank to stop arbitrary arrest.
The International Commission to Support the Palestinian Rights (ICSPR) followed with deep concern that the security services arrest arbitrarily 6 Palestinians, who were released form Israel prisons earlier, in the West Bank. The security services still arresting Major General and the personal guard of the late president Abu Amar Mohammed Al Dayya under the pretext of expressing his opinion despite his health condition.
ICSPR emphasizes that the arbitrary arresting is part of human rights and Palestinian law violations, expressing its concern about the arbitrary methods used by the security services in the West Bank. ICSPR is worried about torturing and abusing of the prisoners.
1- ICSPR express its absolute condemnation of any attempts to portray political arresting as it happens due to criminal actions.
2- ICSPR sees that continuing the security coordination with the occupation in the West Bank contradicts with the decisions of the Palestinian Central Council.
3- ICSPR calls upon the Palestinian government to work to ensure releasing all political prisoners, on top of whom Major General Mohammed Al Dayya, and to desist this practice which violates the Palestinian law and international human rights standards.
