The International Commission (Hashd) Condemns the Brutal Massacre Committed by Israeli Occupation Forces Against the Abu Al-Nasr Family in Beit Lahia Project, Resulting in 93 Martyrs and Dozens Injured and Missing
The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights (Hashd) strongly condemns the brutal massacre committed this morning by Israeli occupation forces against the Abu Al-Nasr family. Israeli warplanes targeted and bombed the family’s five-story home in the Beit Lahia Project in northern Gaza, leveling it to the ground and destroying it over the heads of more than 200 civilian residents. The attack led to the death of 93 people, with over 40 missing, 80 injured, most of whom were children and women. This horrific massacre is part of the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing that has persisted for over a year, amid starvation and siege, and a military ground operation now in its 24th day in northern Gaza, aimed at forcibly displacing residents. Occupation forces have been committing heinous crimes and massacres against Palestinian families, with Hashd documenting approximately 57 massacres resulting from targeted attacks on family homes and forcibly displaced persons in shelters, along with extrajudicial killings that have resulted in over 1,100 martyrs and approximately 2,000 injuries to date. Hundreds remain missing and deceased under the rubble or in the streets, with ambulance and civil defense crews unable to reach them due to being forcibly put out of service. With rescue services halted, residents are compelled to transport the wounded and dead using animal carts and any available means of transport. Furthermore, around 100,000 residents of northern Gaza have been forcibly displaced, with more than 500 residents detained or held from northern Gaza. Meanwhile, the toll of Israeli aggression and the genocidal war across the sector continues to climb, reaching 43,020 martyrs admitted to hospitals, 101,110 injured, around 15,000 missing, and thousands of patients who have perished from starvation, lack of medicine, and the collapse of health and humanitarian services due to closed crossings preventing the transport of the injured and sick.
For the 24th day in a row, the occupation forces continue to impose a suffocating siege and starvation policy on over 100,000 citizens who remain in catastrophic living conditions in northern Gaza, enduring horrific neglect and atrocities due to deliberate Israeli attacks on homes and shelters without warning. The occupation forces have been demolishing residential blocks, even with residents present, in a continuation of forced displacement under threat of arms from the north to Gaza City and southern Gaza, alongside a tightened siege preventing humanitarian aid, obstructing humanitarian organizations from performing their duties, and barring fuel shipments essential to water wells, communication services, and hospital generators. The Israeli occupation has deliberately targeted these facilities for burning, destruction, bombing, and besieging, aiming to put them out of service in a systematic plan to destroy all aspects of life, including water wells, agricultural lands, and businesses, exacerbating the humanitarian catastrophe that now endangers the lives of patients, the wounded, the elderly, women, and children and forcibly displacing residents from northern Gaza.
The International Commission (Hashd) reiterates the responsibility of the international community and international organizations to intervene urgently and humanely to protect the rules of international humanitarian law and international human rights standards, enforcing the rulings of the International Court of Justice. Hashd calls on world leaders, nations, and international and regional organizations to escalate official and popular efforts to stop the Israeli aggression, genocide, displacement, siege, and starvation ongoing for over 389 days, and to prevent the implementation of military plans aimed at displacing the residents of northern Gaza.
The International Commission (Hashd) emphasizes that the crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing committed by occupation forces in northern Gaza constitute grave violations of all rules of international humanitarian law, especially the provisions of the Geneva Convention, Hague Convention, Rome Statute establishing the International Criminal Court, and all human rights standards, disregarding all rulings of the International Court of Justice and relevant Security Council and UN General Assembly resolutions calling for an end to aggression and addressing the Palestinian cause.
The International Commission (Hashd) calls on the international community, the High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions, and the United Nations to act decisively to stop the ongoing genocide and Israeli aggression, ensure the opening of safe corridors for the flow of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, facilitate the work of international organizations, evacuate the wounded and sick, and provide international protection for Palestinians and their rights. It also urges activating mechanisms for accountability, boycott, imposing sanctions on the occupying Israeli state, and prosecuting its leaders and perpetrators of genocide before international courts.
