Statement and Appeal to the Free People of the World

The International Commission “Hashd” calls for international protection for civilians, an urgent halt to the forced displacement crimes in northern Gaza, and relief for Gaza’s residents.

For 385 days, the International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights “Hashd” reports that Israeli occupation forces continue their military aggression, committing horrific acts of genocide, massacres, and extrajudicial killings against civilians. These brutal crimes have resulted in nearly 60,000 martyrs and missing persons, over 100,000 injured, the arrest and detention of thousands, and the destruction of 85% of homes and civilian infrastructure. Israeli airstrikes and artillery shelling persistently target residential areas, shelters, and refugee camps without prior warning, leading to the systematic destruction of life-sustaining resources, healthcare systems, and humanitarian services. The suffocating blockade remains in place, impeding the entry of humanitarian aid, using starvation and thirst as weapons, with the clear and deliberate intent to subject Palestinians to a humanitarian disaster and conditions of living hell, aiming for their complete or partial extermination. Besides the daily killing and injuries caused by bombings, bullets, and raids, such as the incidents at Al-Maghazi Club, Al-Tussirat School, and the invasion east of Khan Younis, which resulted in the death of 84 martyrs and the injury of many others, there are also unregistered fatalities from hunger, thirst, disease outbreaks, and lack of medicine, especially among patients, the elderly, women, and children.

The International Commission “Hashd” highlights that the blockade and extensive ongoing military assault in northern Gaza, now entering its 22nd day, has led to over 1,000 martyrs, around 1,500 wounded, and hundreds missing and detained. Among the worst atrocities were the recent massacre in the Jabalia refugee camp on Al-Huja Street, where the bombing of a residential block killed and wounded 150 civilians, and the Beit Lahia project massacre three days ago, which resulted in 83 martyrs and many injured. The storming and shelling of Kamal Adwan Hospital led to the deaths of dozens of injured patients, rendered the hospital inoperative, and involved the arrest and brutalization of medical staff and men in the hospital, with forced displacement of women to Gaza City and the southern parts of the Strip. Similar crimes have been committed at shelter centers, where they were besieged, surrounded by tanks, stormed, and residents forced to flee northern Gaza after being processed at checkpoints, enduring hours of waiting before women and children could proceed on their painful and fearful journey of forced displacement. Meanwhile, men and youths were detained, abused, and interrogated, with dozens arrested and transported to unknown locations, often on foot or by trucks. Witnesses reported acts of extrajudicial killings against some displaced individuals, whose bodies remain scattered on the streets. The Commission has also received reports of the use of civilians as human shields in front of tanks and Israeli positions in northern Gaza. Around 150,000 residents of northern Gaza still face the threat of death by starvation, with no aid allowed in for 22 days, or from indiscriminate and systematic Israeli bombings, demolishing what remains of shelter centers, homes, and residential blocks to eradicate life and forcibly empty northern Gaza of its residents, as part of a persistently criminal and genocidal military plan.

The International Commission “Hashd” salutes all free people of the world—nations, peoples, and organizations—who continue to protest against these genocidal crimes, demanding an end to Israeli aggression, and extends its gratitude to those providing humanitarian aid. However, it condemns the ongoing support
