Hashd Strongly Condemns the Israeli Ministers’ Invasion of Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound

The International Commission to Support Palestinian People’s Rights (Hashd) strongly condemns the invasion of Al-Aqsa Mosque compound by the extremist terrorist Itamar Ben-Gvir, Minister of National Security, and the terrorist Minister of Negev and Galilee Affairs, Yitzhak Wasserlauf, along with approximately 2,250 extremist settlers, under the protection of Israeli occupation police forces. The invasion took place through the Moroccan Gate and involved the raising of the Israeli flag and the performance of Talmudic rituals. Simultaneously, Palestinian worshippers were prevented from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque, in a recurring provocation that insults the sentiments of Muslims. This act is a blatant violation of international humanitarian law, the historical status quo, and relevant United Nations resolutions regarding the city of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque. This escalation aims to fuel religious conflict, inflame emotions, and sabotage efforts to halt Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and other occupied Palestinian territories.

Hashd calls on the international community to take serious action to stop Israel’s grave violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque and the holy city, as well as other ongoing crimes by the Israeli occupation, including the ongoing genocide in Gaza, colonial settlement expansion, extrajudicial killings, and the mistreatment of prisoners. Hashd urges for a boycott and the imposition of sanctions on the Israeli occupation state, holding its leaders and soldiers accountable before international courts, and supporting the Palestinian people’s rights to self-determination, return, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
