The International Commission “Hashd”  condemns the United States’ use of the veto right in the UN Security Council to prevent the passage of a resolution accepting full Palestinian membership in the United Nations, despite a US veto, despite the vote of 12 countries in favor and two abstentions, including Britain.

The International Commission “Hashd”  considers this vote by the United States and Britain a denial of the rights of the Palestinian people under international law and relevant UN resolutions. It sends a message to the world to stop relying on false American promises of supporting the two-state solution, aside from historically supporting the Israeli occupation militarily, politically, and economically, which contradicts the rights of the Palestinian people. The timing of the veto reaffirms the United States’ partnership in the ongoing genocide in Gaza for the seventh consecutive month and other Israeli occupation crimes in Palestine.

The International Commission “Hashd”  reaffirms that the right to self-determination and the decision for full Palestinian statehood at the United Nations are rights of the Palestinian people, requiring continued struggle in all forms, including appealing to the General Assembly under the formula “United for Peace” to obtain full membership. It demands international protection for Palestinians, a serious path to end the Israeli occupation, embodying the Palestinian state and requiring Palestinian withdrawal of recognition of the occupying state, and disengagement from the Oslo Accords. It calls for the declaration of a government of the state in agreement until comprehensive elections are held, and the restoration of unity and the reconstruction of all political system institutions and the national movement, led by the Palestinian Liberation Organization, on the basis of partnership, democracy, and agreement on a unified national strategy to pursue national rights. It calls for a broad campaign to boycott and impose sanctions on the Israeli occupation state, and isolate and politically condemn the United States and some European countries with colonial backgrounds, rejecting double standards and hypocrisy. And the law of the jungle.
