ICSPR STARTED A SPECIALIZED TRAINING PROGRAM “HUMAN RIGHTS RESEARCHER”
The International Commission to Support Palestinian Rights ICSPR started on Monday, a specialized training program that aim to train and prepare human rights researchers, in participation of 25 male and female lawyers and human rights activists.
This training program aims to develop research skills for youth lawyers in preparing reports and research papers in the field of human rights, in addition to provide participants with knowledge and a better understanding of international and national standards of human rights and international law. As well as improving participants experiences in monitoring and documenting violations and preparing memorandums and human rights reports.
Dr. Salah Al-Wadeya, Director of Research and Policy Department, emphasized that this program provides a space to share experiences and ideas to develop the capacity of lawyers in preparing legal and human rights reports to monitor and expose the Israeli occupation violations of human rights in Palestine, in addition to highlight the human rights situation in Palestine.
Where Dr. Alaa Hamouda, Director of Training and awareness Department, confirmed that this program focuses on supporting the capacity-building of participants to contribute in advocating rights of the Palestinian people, noting that the applications to join the second installment of the specialized training program were published online and the best trainees were selected after passing an exam and interview.
