Date: 10 Nev, 2023

Subject: Urgent Memorandum and Report on the Israeli Occupation’s Use of Internationally Prohibited Weapons and Excessive Force in its Aggression Against the People of Gaza in Occupied Palestine,

The Secretary-General of the United Nations and relevant UN organizations, Human Rights Council, High Commissioner for Human Rights, Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court, UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, International Atomic Energy Agency, High Contracting Parties to the Geneva Conventions, regional and international organizations and Inter-Parliamentary Union and Free the World

The International Commission to Support Palestinians Rights (Hashd) acknowledges all your efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza and ensure that human beings enjoy a dignified life wherever they are. We urge the practical and real application of human rights treaties and provisions, especially in Palestine. The civilians in Gaza, who are victims of serious violations of international humanitarian law and human rights conventions by the Israeli occupying forces, look forward to your efforts to restrain the Israeli military from its crimes and halt the violations against them. These violations include the shelling of civilians with thousands of highly damaging rockets, equivalent to more than 30,000 tons of explosives, about 6,000 rockets daily targeting civilians and civilian property.

This has resulted in the deaths of more than 10,569, including over 4,324 children and 2,823 women, with 26,475 citizens sustaining various injuries. Additionally, more than 70% of the wounded are children, and 2,558 are missing, including 1,850 children. Half of the civilian homes and structures in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed. The Israeli forces have used various weapons, some of which were supplied and supported by the United States, Germany, France, Italy, Britain, Canada, and Australia. The excessive and disproportionate use of internationally prohibited weapons has caused irreparable harm, necessitating accountability for the perpetrators and preventing the recurrence of such violations against any other humanitarian society.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The weapons used in Gaza by the Israeli occupying forces, the internationally prohibited weapons, and the crimes of killing civilians, causing injuries, and destroying homes without warning constitute serious violations of international law. These are war crimes and crimes against humanity. We call on you to intervene immediately to stop the military actions against Gaza, press for an end to killing operations, especially those targeting civilians. We also urge the cessation of arms exports and military support to the Israeli occupation by the United States, Germany, Italy, Britain, France, Canada, and Australia. Activate international oversight of the Israeli occupation and its manufacturing and use of internationally prohibited weapons against Palestinians. Pay attention to statements and threats to use nuclear bombs against Palestinians, issued by the Israeli Heritage Minister. Compel the occupation to adhere to international laws and treaties regulating the production and trade of internationally prohibited weapons, causing unjustified harm to civilians and their surrounding environment.

Your swift intervention is crucial, as every hour sees an increase in violations of international laws through the use of various weapons and internationally prohibited weapons, raising the number of child, woman, and civilian casualties. Your contribution and intervention will contribute to stopping genocide, ethnic cleansing, and war crimes, ensuring the right to life according to all standards of international humanitarian law and human rights.

Accept our deepest respect and appreciation,

The International Commission to Support Palestinians Rights (Hashd)
