Press Release

On the 29th consecutive day, Israeli occupation forces continue their heinous crimes against civilians, including the shelling of hospitals and shelters for displaced persons

The International Commission (Hashd): For the 29th day in a row, the Israeli aggression continues unabated in the Gaza Strip, committing the largest genocide against its population. So far, it has resulted in the deaths and martyrdom of 9,488 citizens, including 3,900 children and 2,500 women, along with 150 medical staff, 46 journalists, and 72 employees of the international relief agency. Additionally, 24,158 citizens have been injured with varying degrees of severity, and around 2,200 individuals, including 1,250 children, remain missing under the rubble of homes and residential areas. This is all transpiring amidst the international community’s failure to put a stop to these genocidal crimes, ethnic cleansing, and forced displacement carried out by the Israeli occupation, with unprecedented support from the United States and the alignment of some European countries.

The International Commission (Hashd): The deliberate targeting and destruction of citizens’ homes and residential areas have resulted in over 1,006 massacres against Palestinian families since the start of the war. Moreover, the intentional targeting of hospitals, ambulances, and shelters for displaced persons in Gaza, resulting in deaths and injuries among those seeking refuge, underscores Israel’s plan to exterminate and displace the Palestinians in Gaza, turning it into a devastated region where life is nearly non-existent.

The International Commission (Hashd): Approximately half of the civilian, economic, and infrastructure buildings and facilities in the Gaza Strip have been destroyed, with over 25,000 tons of explosives dropped on Gaza using various types of internationally prohibited weapons. This demonstrates that Israel’s goal is to destroy Gaza as a form of revenge and collective punishment, which are internationally banned and considered war crimes according to the Fourth Geneva Convention.

The International Commission (Hashd):2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza are without water, electricity, and stable communication. There is a severe shortage of food and medical supplies, and 70% of them have been forcibly displaced from their homes, living in catastrophic conditions within shelters and the homes of relatives and friends due to overcrowding, a lack of essential humanitarian and healthcare services, and worsening humanitarian suffering. This represents a crime against humanity committed in the face of international failure to open humanitarian corridors to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and fuel shipments to power the electricity station, guaranteeing even drinking water for the people.

The International Commission (Hashd): The Israeli occupation has expanded its operations and ground incursions, used unprecedented firepower, while employed a scorched-earth policy with no regard for the lives and properties of civilians. It has also separated Gaza into two parts, isolating the southern areas from the north, hindering the delivery of humanitarian aid, medical supplies, and the evacuation of the wounded. The world continues to remain silent in the face of the most significant international crime currently being committed against civilians and civilian infrastructure.

The International Commission (Hashd): Threatening hospitals, shelling their surroundings, and demanding their evacuation while preventing the entry of medical supplies and the necessary fuel to operate generators puts the lives of thousands of wounded and patients at risk and reflects the Israeli disregard for human rights values.

The International Commission (Hashd): This is a dark page in human history, marked by the continued failure of the United Nations, high-contracting parties to the Geneva Conventions, international organizations, and regional entities to halt Israeli aggression and ensure the respect of international humanitarian law and the laws of war.

The International Commission (Hashd): The slow response and incapacity of the world, the international community, and international and regional organizations to stop Israeli aggression, ensure the observance of the rules of international humanitarian law, and end the serious violations committed by the Israeli occupation, demonstrate the urgency of taking effective action.

The International Commission (Hashd): We call on the United Nations, high-contracting parties to the Geneva Conventions, international organizations, and all freedom-loving people around the world to earnestly work to halt Israeli aggression, put an end to genocide, ethnic cleansing, forced displacement, collective punishment, and other grave violations committed by the Israeli state, and expedite the flow of fuel and humanitarian aid. We also call for the evacuation of the wounded without any hindrances from all areas of the Gaza Strip and the development of an action plan to end the occupation and colonial apartheid regime, empowering the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination.
