The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) Is following with deep concern the serious deterioration of the health sector in Gaza Strip, and the step to postpone about eight thousand surgeries , because of the lack of medical supplies in hospitals, Which is witnessing a serious and unprecedented deterioration due to the worsening crisis of lack of treatment, medical consumables and the fuel needed to run the generators, In the absence of any solutions to the crisis and the continuation of the Israeli siege, and sanctions against Gaza strip, by the Government of National Reconciliation, Which has affected health and medical services, and has posed an additional challenge to the provision of health services , which will lead to the imminent collapse of the medical system and health sector in  Gaza Strip does not disappoint at all levels. According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, hospitals have been forced to postpone about eight thousand operations scheduled for patients as a result of the lack of necessary medical supplies, especially those used in operating rooms and recovery and others, Which threatens serious complications that violate the minimum human rights requirements and patients in the appropriate treatment, this  crisis over all the red lines, which requires remedying the crisis before it is too late. ICSPR: Confirm that the crisis of access to acute medical supplies in hospitals and health centers, is added  to the complex humanitarian crises in  Gaza Strip.

The situation is further complicated as the occupation forces continue targeting civilians participating in the events of the return march, Which would lead to the collapse of the entire health system. Which will put the lives of Palestinian patients at risk of death and complications that can not be controlled, Therefore, ICSPR demands the following:

1.      ICSPR Warns of the consequences of continuing to ignore the serious deterioration of the health conditions in Gaza Strip, And the postponement of about (8) thousand surgeries in hospitals, because of the depletion of medical supplies. 2.      ICSPR Urges the international community, the World Health Organization and other international organizations to urgently intervene to provide fuel for generators and medical supplies for patients in Gaza Strip. 3.      ICSPR Calls upon the international community to desist from politicizing the Palestinian issues and to compel the Israeli occupation state to cease its policies and measures of brutal blockade of  Gaza Strip immediately. 4.      ICSPR Renewed its call on the government of national reconciliation in Ramallah to stop all punitive measures against the citizens of Gaza Strip, especially those targeting the health sector, and prevent the health sector from deteriorating further.
