The International Commission to Support Palestinians’’ Rights appeals to the presidency and the Egyptian government to work to put an end to the suffering of Palestinian travelers from Cairo to Gaza Strip
The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) following with great concern the suffering of the Palestinian passengers from the Egyptian capital(Cairo) to Gaza Strip, forcing travelers to stop and wait for days at the Fardan ferry, and then stop at the Risa checkpoint, as well as stop in more than one security ambush on the Suez Canal, Passengers to wait at the Rafah crossing for long hours until the completion of their entry into the Palestinian territories.
The International Commission to Support Palestinians’ Rights (ICSPR) Recalling the historic role played by the Egyptian State in supporting the Palestinian cause and the brotherly people of Egypt, who for many years embraced their Palestinian brothers and adopted their concerns and issues. They played a major role in providing material and political support to the Palestinian cause before all forums and in all fields, understanding the security conditions in the Sinai Governorate, and emphasizing the many legal, moral and humanitarian justifications that call upon the Egyptian state in all its aspects to contribute to putting an end to the suffering of Palestinian travelers in Gaza Strip,so:
1- ICSPR appeals to the Egyptian Presidency and the Egyptian government to work hard to put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian passengers by facilitating their land transport inside the Egyptian territories, in order to facilitate the transfer of travelers without further suffering.
2- ICSPR calls upon the Egyptian state and all Arab and Islamic countries to work hard to force the Israeli occupation forces to stop using the policy of collective punishment imposed on the residents of Gaza Strip and to immediately open all border crossings.
3- ICSPR calls upon the various Egyptian political forces to work to urge all Egyptian authorities to work without delay to review the approved travel procedures for Palestinian travelers from the Egyptian capital to the Gaza Strip, as well as from the Gaza Strip to Cairo
